Donkey carts with unidentified people. [1890]-[1909]

Views of donkey carts with men, women and children driving them. Two views were taken near the Brierley farmhouse at 201 Pearl street; several views were taken in the area of the railroad yards near 9th and Canyon Boulevard. One photo of a boy on a cart and his donkey is described as "Master J.E. Winslow and Happy Jack out for a Time, 1901."

In 1911 he opened a branch at 1134 13th St. on the Hill, which was operated by his brother, Ernest. Ernest worked at that store as manager until 1945, when, after Alfred's death, the store was sold to Eb Smith.
